Carl Silverberg is the President of Silverberg Associates, a political consulting firm that specializes in PAC fundraising and political strategy. Carl is a former investment banker, radio and tv personality, newspaper columnist and Chief of Staff to a senior Democratic Member of Congress.

He has been in campaign management positions in congressional and senatorial campaigns throughout the United States. His first foray in the international political scene was helping to oust General Noriega in Panama. Since then Carl has worked with Presidents and Presidential campaigns in the following countries:

Caribbean            Dominican Republic
Central America    Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico
South America      Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela

Most recently, he worked with a political party in Poland and he is currently advising the opposition presidential candidate in Ghana for the December 2008 election.

After the 1998 congressional campaign cycle, he formed Silverberg Associates, a firm that specializes in raising PAC contributions for Members of Congress and challengers. By combining his extensive political expertise with his background as an investment banker, Mr. Silverberg's incumbents routinely out raise their opponents by at least a 4:1 margin. As an example, Congressman Gary Ackerman's annual NY Deli Event is one of the most anticipated fundraisers in DC each year and consistently raises over $150,000. In the 2006 cycle, all of Carl's challengers were among the top 40 targeted seats and each of his incumbents raised close to $400,000 in PAC contributions.

Carl Silverberg is a frequent guest lecturer at universities in the United States such as Washington University in St. Louis and Kenyon College in Ohio. He is an occasional guest on television and radio talk shows and a frequent source for newspaper articles. Carl wrote the chapter on PAC Fundraising for the book, "Winning Elections", the standard text in most college courses on campaining. He has contributed to professional magazines and newspapers and is finishing up his first novel. Carl moved to the Seattle area in 2006 and commutes weekly from his home on Mercer Island to Washington, DC.

June Silverberg, senior partner in the firm is a former aricultural lobbyist whose insight into the legislative aspect of federal campaigns is crucial in targeting support for incumbents. Her in-depth understanding of the legislative process, the House committee structure and her relationships with key committee staff members enables the firm to find sources of contributions that usually are not explored. June manages the West Coast Office and is targeting fundraising services to associations, corporations  and lobbying firms.

She most recently lobbied for the National Corn Growers Association and directed their international trade efforts as well as biotech efforts, coordinating the Association's effort on CAFTA and WTO. Previously, she held the position of Director of Corporate Development for the National Association of Wheat Growers and also was responsibile for raising money for their federal PAC. In the past, June has worked on Capitol Hill as well as in several campaigns in the south and southeast.

 

Keegan Goudiss is a junior partner who joined the firm in September 2007. Keegan comes to us after working for four years at NCEC becoming a specialist in precinct targeting and online operations. Mr. Goudiss has worked on campaigns, in a many capacities, in Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, New York, Tennessee, and Virginia. He expects to significantly grow the online marketing and fundraising operations for clients. He expects to expand our services particularly to the state and local level. His successful experience with technology will allow incumbents to establish leadership PAC's using the online world to drive contributions. We worked with Keegan in 1999 when he was an intern at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and have watched his political skills grow to the point where he is now an invaluable part of the team.

Priscilla Min is a University of Washington graduate who has been with the firm since January of this year. She helping with the development of a sophisticated campaign database as well as assisting in legislative research. Ms. Min heads up donor research for our non-profit clients.
