According to an article in yesterday’s Enquirer, Primary opponents to President Mills are upset that he has not favored his own party members since taking office. Ms. Rawlings was caught on tape complaining to delegates that the President has not been vindictive enough with the opposition.

Carl Silverberg, who advised the Mills campaign in 2008 and is again working with the President in his re-election had this reaction:

“I wish Mr. Gabrah the best in explaining why someone who lives in London should be elected President of Ghana and I thank Mrs. Rawlings for confirming what we already know. President Mills was elected to represent all the people of Ghana, not just the members of his political party.”

Sources close to the President are privately thrilled that one of his opponents would actually give him a compliment by accusing President Mills of being even and fair when dealing with opponents, as well as supporters.
